What is the Ultipleat High Flow Filter – Absolute Rated Series mainly used for?
The Absolute Rated Series is designed for precision liquid filtration where reliable and defined particle retention is required. Typical applications include beer, dairy, bottled water, industrial pure water, and other high-purity liquid processes that require consistent filtration performance and tighter particle control.
What does 99.98% absolute-rated filtration mean?
A 99.98% absolute-rated filter is designed to retain particles at the specified micron rating with a filtration efficiency of 99.98% under defined test conditions. This provides more predictable particle retention than nominal-rated filtration and is useful for applications where filtration accuracy and process consistency are important.
How do I choose the right micron rating for the Absolute Rated Series?
The correct micron rating depends on the particle size to be removed, required downstream cleanliness, feed contamination level, flow rate, and allowable pressure drop. Available ratings range from 0.1 to 10 μm, allowing selection for fine particle removal, polishing, and other precision filtration duties.
Why is PTFE filter media used in this high flow cartridge?
PTFE filter media provides stable particle retention and good chemical compatibility for demanding liquid filtration processes. It is suitable for applications where reliable filtration performance and fluid purity are important. Final compatibility should still be confirmed according to the process fluid, temperature, chemical concentration, and operating conditions.
What operating limits should be considered for this cartridge?
The listed maximum operating temperature is 80°C, and the maximum differential pressure is 2.0 bar at 20°C. Actual allowable conditions should also consider the selected micron rating, process fluid, flow rate, and cartridge construction. Pressure and temperature should be evaluated together before final selection.
How do I confirm whether this absolute-rated cartridge fits my existing housing?
Compatibility should be checked according to cartridge outer diameter, length, sealing interface, flow direction, and housing dimensions. The listed sizes include 20", 40", and 60" lengths with an outer diameter of approximately 158–160 mm. Providing your current cartridge model or housing dimensions is the most reliable way to confirm interchangeability.
