You should replace your lenticular filter when the differential pressure (Delta P) reaches the terminal limit recommended by the manufacturer, typically between 1.5 to 2.5 bar (22-36 psi). If you notice no differential pressure during operation, it usually indicates a "bypass." This can happen if the lenticular filter module is not seated correctly, the center post gaskets are damaged, or the filter media has been ruptured due to excessive backpressure. To "repack" or regenerate a lenticular filter used in wine production (to remove tartrate buildup), flush the system with a 1-2% citric acid solution. For a lenticular filter, a positive displacement pump (such as an air-operated double diaphragm pump or a flexible impeller pump) is ideal.
