Ultrafine Precipitate Removal: Requires the complete removal of suspended particulates smaller than 1um in size.


Achieving Ultra-Low Moisture Content: The moisture content in the essential oil must be precisely controlled at a very low level of less than 0.5%.

LOONG FILTRATION's Three-Stage High-Efficiency Purification Workflow

To meet the filtration demand for 8000kgs batches with a required flow rate of approximately 600l/h, we have designed an optimized and efficient   three-stage serial filtration system. This system perfectly integrates particulate filtration with advanced oil-water separation technology.

Stage One: Existing Ultrafine Pre-Filtration (MCE Filter Cartridge)

  • Purpose: Serving as the first line of defense, the client's existing 0.1um MCE filter cartridge is dedicated to intercepting and removing ultrafine precipitates smaller than 1um, thereby protecting the subsequent precision separation units.

Stage Two: Coalescence Cartridge - Making Droplets Bigger is Key

  • Technical Principle: As the essential oil passes through the coalescence cartridge with specialized surface energy, microscopic water droplets (emulsified water) suspended in the oil gather and merge on the filter material fibers, forming significantly larger droplets.

  • Function: Achieves the transformation from small water droplets to large water droplets, creating the necessary conditions for the next stage of high-efficiency separation.

Stage Three: Separator Cartridge - Final Moisture Interception

  • Technical Principle: The essential oil and the enlarged water droplets subsequently enter the separator cartridge. This cartridge is designed with oleophobic/hydrophilic or hydrophobic/oleophilic properties (depending on the medium) to effectively intercept and drain the large, coalesced water droplets.

  • Function: Physically separates the moisture from the main body of the essential oil, discharging the water through the housing's bottom drain, ensuring the final essential oil moisture content meets the target of <0.5%
